Hosted by world-renowned breaker Ronnie Abaldonado, the show brings together some of the most influential dancers and pioneers who have impacted the breaking scene around the world.

Since 2004, Ronnie Abaldonado has traveled the globe battling, performing, producing shows in his hometown of Las Vegas, and building community through hip-hop culture. A Red Bull BC One All Star, Ronnie is also a member of Full Force Crew and Super Cr3w, and runs initiatives dedicated to preserving and growing the culture of breaking.

Originally from Guam, Ronnie first discovered dance by copying moves from MTV before moving to California in 1993, where his cousins introduced him to breaking and the deeper foundations of hip-hop culture. His journey was shaped by mentorship from his brother and B-Boy Ivan, who helped guide Ronnie when he later moved to Las Vegas to train with Full Force.

Breaking reached a historic milestone when it premiered as an official sport in the Paris 2024 Olympics, where Ronnie served as a play-by-play commentator—earning an Emmy Award for his Olympic commentary and helping bring the culture of breaking to a global audience.

On Distrct Talks, Ronnie sits down with legendary b-boys, b-girls, choreographers, event producers and cultural leaders to discuss the evolution of breaking, untold stories from the dance world, competition culture, and the global influence of hip-hop.
